Meta launches Muse, an agent for everyone
New uses
Agents
Meta’s personal AI agent does tasks across your apps. It reached No. 2 on the US App Store in two days.
What happened
- On September 8, Meta launched Muse in the US on iPhone, Android and the web. It connects to e-mail, calendar, payments and other apps, and does things for you instead of only answering.
- It is free for most use, with paid plans at $20 and $100 a month. Two days after launch it was No. 2 on the US App Store.
- Meta says Muse runs in an isolated environment and plans an encrypted option where only the user holds the key.
Why it matters for you
With Meta’s reach, agents stop being a tool for tech fans. Read what an agent may access before you connect your accounts.
